PT Mitra Pinasthika Mustika (Mustika) began accumulating retail dealerships in 2005 and currently owns and operates 31 Honda dealers: 26 in East Java/NTT and 5 in other parts of the country. In 2011, Mitra Pinasthika Mustika sold over 86,456 motorcycles. Mitra Pinasthika Mustika has the license to own and operate retail dealerships anywhere in Indonesia, but must purchase motorcycles and spare parts only from licensed distributors in the dealers respective regions. For example, Mustika’s dealers in Medan, North Sumatra, are not allowed to purchase motorcycles from Mulia.

There are three types of dealers in Honda’s system:

1. Sales Outlets (H1): Dealer sales showroom that provide a collection of new Honda motorcycle
2. Maintenance Outlets (H2): Dealers who has a complete workshop and supported by trained mechanics to provide after sales services to consumer
3. Spare Parts Outlets (H3): Dealers that only sell Honda Genuine Part

Most of Mustika’s dealers are Full Service (consist of H1, H2, H3), which is consistent with AHM’s future dealership strategy. the Full Services type provides a onestop shop for consumers and ensures AHM (through its master distributors) can deliver high quality levels of service.

MPM has identified Mustika as a priority growth opportunity and therefore aims to grow its nationwide platform into one of the top dealership networks in Indonesia.
